Stewart and I are extremely passionate about rescue animals, there are thousands of lovely dogs looking for their forever homes in Scotland. The Dogs Trust and the SSPCA are the two big rehoming charities but many more exist in an attempt to keep up with demand for foster/kennel space. The RSPCA of England and Wales now refuses to take in “stray” dogs and cats and those animals unlucky enough to find themselves unwanted struggle to find spaces in over-crowded rescue centres. There are also many dogs and other animals offered on free-ad sites such as Gumtree and Preloved and sadly there are still killing pounds in the UK.
We realise that there are probably other rescues we have missed, please get in touch with us if you have a rescue organisation that neuters/spays, vaccinates and rehomes dogs.
